Inventory Management

Enhanced Purchase Order reporting system

Updated the detailed Purchase Order Excel export to include the Manufacturer Part Number, the Quantity Remaining (calculated as the quantity ordered minus the quantity received), and the cost from the purchase order, giving you even more valuable insights at a glance.

Split Items By Line Option While Receiving Inventory

Now you can easily receive the same inventory from a distributor at different costs.

Lot Number Handling Improvements

Enhanced support for lot numbers, making it simple to track and manage inventory tied to specific lots. This update ensures accuracy and better traceability for your products from receiving to sales.

Easily Identify Discontinued Items During Sales Transactions

When you mark an item as discontinued in the Item Info tab, it will now show a "Discontinued" tag on the sales screen. This makes it super easy for your clerks to spot and identify those items at checkout!

Added Total Amount Display for Transfers

Using the transfer in and out feature to move products between your physical locations, you'll now see the total quantity of inventory being transferred and the associated cost. Clear, simple, and all in one place!

Improved Warehouse Module with New Put Away Screen

The warehouse module’s Put Away screen now displays the product description, ID, UPC, and image. This update makes it easier than ever to verify the items you’re binning at a glance.

Sales & Customer Management

Implemented Auto Focus on Item Field feature

You can now enable Auto Focus on the Item Field at the location level. This lets you decide whether the cursor automatically defaults to the item search field on the Receiving or Sales screens, making it easier to streamline operations for each store.

Enhanced FFL Requirements in Fulfillment Screen

Improved shipping compliance checks to ensure firearms are only shipped to FFL addresses. If the shipping address isn’t an FFL for drop-ship items or when shipping firearms with line item shipping enabled, the system will prevent fulfillment and display the message: "An FFL is required to ship this item."

Enhanced Payment Account Creation for Subscription Sales

The system now ensures proper setup for subscriptions with credit card payments, even when other payment methods like cash or gift cards are part of the transaction. This update enhances efficiency and accuracy for managing subscription sales.

Reporting & Analytics

Enhanced Inventory Detail Report functionality

We’ve added a new option to the Inventory Summary by Category and Inventory Detail by Category reports. You can now choose to exclude out-of-stock items by checking the “Exclude Out of Stock Items” option. When selected, any items with a quantity on hand of 0 will be hidden from the report for a cleaner and more focused view.

Channel Enhancements

Enhanced the category saving process, improved item editing in coreForce Channels, and introduced background processing for inventory updates.

Inventory & Item Management Improvements

Inventory Transfers Enhancement

Improved our inventory transfer system! You can now transfer items between locations even if they have a discontinued date, making it easier to manage inventory efficiently across locations.

Improved Item Kit Display on Receipts and Invoices

Enhanced the way item kits are shown on receipts and customer invoices! Now, the item kit name will appear clearly, with each line item in the kit listed beneath it. This update helps clarify package purchases, especially when multiple kits are involved, making it easier for customers to understand exactly what they've bought.

Automatic Inventory Sync for coreTAG Users

Added a convenient feature for all digital coreTAG users! Now, your inventory quantities will automatically sync based on sales and receiving processes, keeping your tags up-to-date with minimal effort. To enable this feature, simply go to Company > Settings > coreTAGs.

For example: Your tag can show on hand quantity and will change in real time, you can get creative and clearly show when an item is out of stock or low on stock, or if the item was sold on the web site, so you remember to pull it off the shelf.


Receiving Improvements

Enhanced Item Transfer Overview in Purchasing Module

Added a helpful display to the purchasing module for inter-location transfers! Now, when transferring items, you’ll see a quick summary of the total cost and the quantity of items being moved, making inventory management even easier.

Enhanced Multi-Channel Selling in coreSTORE

Our latest update brings improvements to coreSTORE's multi-channel selling tools! We've upgraded category management, added important warnings for specific channel operations like Guns.com, and updated item selector controls on the Channels tab to make managing your inventory across platforms easier and more intuitive.

Inventory

Lot Number Support
A lot number allows tracking and tracing of an entire batch of items for purposes like quality control, recalls, or expiration tracking. All items in a specific lot share the same number and are treated as a group. Unlike serialized items which identify each item uniquely, lot numbers can have any quantity of an item and you can also associate an optional expiration date to a lot number.

Assembly Quantities
The assembly screen now shows the quantity on hand and quantity available of the components.

Sell Kits in Quantity
Added a new setting to pop up a quantity dialog box when selling kits. This allows the user to easily enter a quantity of kits being sold.

Purchasing & Receiving

Detailed Item Information
While entering a purchase order or receiving items, you can now click on the item name to see all the information on the item (just like you can on the sales screen).

Sales Summary Report Link Inventory Item
You can access a new quickly access the Sales Summary Report for any item. This is helpful to see the detailed sales history when you are making purchasing decisions.

Discontinued Flag on Receiving Screen
A “Discontinued” flag has been added to the receiving screen, allowing users to easily identify discontinued items during the purchasing/receiving process.

Open Purchase Order Dialogue Box
Added a feature that allows users to view the open purchase orders on any item that is added to a PO, just click on the On Order Quantity and a dialogue box will be displayed showing all open orders for that item.

Buyers Assistant

Tags Option in Buyer’s Assistant
Added a new feature in the Buyer’s Assistant that allows users to tag options, making it easier to categorize and track purchasing preferences based on item characteristics.

Editable Cost Column in Buyer’s Assistant
The cost column in the Buyer’s Assistant is now editable, allowing users to modify item costs directly during the purchasing process.

Variation Prices
You can now print labels with variation prices using ZPL (Zebra Programming Language).

Enhancements

Receive thousands of serial numbers at once
Greatly improved the speed of receiving hundreds or thousands of serialized items at one time.

Consignment Improvements
Improved search functionality within consignments, making it faster and more accurate to find specific consigned items.

Integration with BigCommerce
Updated the CoreSTORE integration with BigCommerce to handle valid UPC formats, ensuring smooth data exchange between the two platforms and also enhanced some additional integration issues.

Validation for Whole Numbers
Added validation for whole numbers to various fields to ensure data integrity, especially in situations where partial values are not allowed (e.g., item quantities).

Location-Specific Data Handling in Buyer’s Assistant
Implemented enhancements in the Buyer’s Assistant to handle location-specific purchase order creation.

Improved File Storage
Enabled the option to store files external to the database, offering a more scalable and efficient way to manage and store files, especially for users handling large volumes of data.

Improved Validation for Consignment Search Queries
Improved search validation for consignment items, ensuring better results and more reliable filtering when searching through consigned inventory.

Credit card Markup Fees
Credit Card Mark up fee in Taxes and Fees were calculating incorrectly when there was a split payment sale.

Added summary tiles on the register summary report.

Bin Log
Added a log to track all bin quantity changes.

Submit Button on Android
Fixed an issue where the submit button was not functioning properly on Android devices, improving the user experience for mobile users.

Currency Format Fixes
Resolved issues with the currency format across the platform, including labels and invoices, ensuring that monetary values are displayed consistently and correctly.

Invoice PDF Subtotal Fix
Fixed a bug where the subtotal on invoice PDFs was not displaying correctly, ensuring that the total amounts are calculated and presented accurately.

Employee Image Upload Issue
Fixed an issue that prevented employees from uploading their images, ensuring that all user profiles can be updated with personal photos.

Fix for Firearm Transfer Duplicate Buttons
Resolved an issue where duplicate buttons were appearing during firearm transfer processes, streamlining the interface and reducing confusion for users.

Config View Bug
Fixed a bug in the configuration view where settings were not displaying properly, allowing users to access and modify their configurations without issues.

SmartWaiver Email Fix
Fixed the instances where email address was not coming across properly from SmartWaiver.

Merging Suppliers
Fixed the issue with merging suppliers together.

Bound Book Costs
Fixed some issues with the cost that was showing in the bound book records.

Gift Card Issue with coreFORCE
Fixed the issue that was preventing coreSTORE from sending a gift card to coreFORCE when the gift card was created as a result of a return.

In Layman's Terms:

This update simplifies inventory management for Basic and Standard users by pulling product data directly from the Coreware catalog. Advanced users can now add extra shipping fees for store locations. All versions show Minimum Advertised Price (MAP) restrictions in the product pricing area. Additionally, several bugs were fixed, like tax calculation issues during checkout and product display errors. There's also better protection against fake newsletter signups, and improvements in error messages when products aren’t found. Some issues with payment methods and address validation were also addressed in hotfixes.

New Features

  • [Basic/Standard] Inventory for distributor Products is now pulled directly from the Coreware catalog instead of every client having to sync with every distributor. NOTE: allocated inventory is not supported for Basic and Standard. Basic/Standard clients who want to use allocated inventory from a distributor can talk to sales about upgrading.

  • [Advanced/Enterprise] There is now a way to specify additional shipping charges for store locations in addition to distributor locations.

  • [All versions] There is now a MAP restrictions summary displayed on the Pricing tab in Products maintenance.

  • [Basic/Standard] The Pricing tab in Products Maintenance now shows both the Displayed Sale Price (including MAP) and the Discounted Sale Price (after Add to Cart and/or Email for price)

Other Changes

  • Added code to the newsletter signup function in user defined templates to prevent bots or hacking attempts from creating junk contacts.

  • If a product is not found in an API request, the error message will now give details about what was used to search and if the product was inactive.

  • If PURCHASE_ORDER is selected as the payment method in Order Entry, the Purchase Order Number field is now required.

Hotfixes Already Live Since Last Release

  • Fixed an issue where payment methods other than credit card or bank account could be marked as the default payment method at checkout.

  • Coreware release notes are now included in coreFORCE via integration with Featurebase. They can be accessed from the "What's New" button in the back end.

  • Disabled the address validator which was throwing an error when attempting to save blank address records. This will be re-enabled for a limited set of situations in a future release.

  • Fixed an issue with incorrect tax calculations in Reserve Facility v2 which was causing an error when paying for a reservation.

  • Fixed an issue with Reserve Facility v2 returning "Internal Server Error" when using coreCLEAR as the merchant gateway.

  • Fixed an issue with GunBroker orders failing to be created because the country was missing from the address record.

  • Changed the Orders Dashboard to take the FFL address into account in the "Ship to Postal Code" filter.

  • Fixed an issue with the HIDE_WHEN_SOLD_OUT product tag where all products were being marked internal use only instead of only products that were out of stock.

  • Updated the Bill Hicks integration to use the latest file format, which fixed an issue with tracking data from Bill Hicks not flowing into coreFORCE.

  • Fixed an issue with the template for the back end administration screens not being automatically updated when changes are made.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where manufacturers with the Strict MAP policy were not sending the sale price to gun.deals even if the sale price was above MAP.

  • Fixed an issue where changing products in the shopping cart on the checkout page would result in the tax showing as zero.

  • Fixed an issue where the Product Search Index would be turned off when support ran the Delete Products for a client page.

  • Fixed an issue where the SASS headers would be added to the CSS of page twice.

But in short we have transformed coreSTORE into an omni channel platform that will allow you to sell your inventory on various platforms. We have been working on channels for many months and have had customers running certain channels for a while. We are still tweaking, enhancing and fixing but we feel it’s ready for prime time.

In Layman's Terms

  • For this release, coreFORCE introduces a premium feature that allows manufacturers to help customers find products at nearby dealers. We've added more filters and better user management, like preventing the creation of invalid contacts and automatically saving order settings. Several bugs were fixed, including issues with loyalty points, promotion codes, and integrations with Credova and Sezzle. Additionally, dropshipping from Orion is now available for all clients, and we've improved error handling across various features like CSV imports and tax calculations.

  • [Premium Feature - contact sales] For manufacturers using coreFORCE, there is now support for dealers to upload their inventory of the manufacturer's products, allowing a "Find this product at a dealer near you" in coreFORCE. (coreSTORE support for the dealer side coming soon)

Other Changes

  • Added a filter for invoices that are paid in full in the Orders Dashboard

  • Created a "coreFORCE system" user to be used for order notes and other automatic processes that were previously tied to a randomly selected administrator user.

  • Contacts with all blank data or an invalid email address will no longer be saved.

  • If coreFORCE is linked to coreSTORE, the "Allow Shipment to be created from committed inventory" checkbox on the order dashboard is now checked by default. This setting is also saved between shipments if the user changes it.

  • Added a warning in Event Maintenance if the event has no facilities assigned (causing it to have no start and end times)

  • The front-end event list page now excludes events with no facilities (and thus no start or end times)

  • There is now a registrant count field in the list view in Event Maintenance

  • The front end event list page can now be set to include or exclude certain locations via Page Text Chunks

  • For coreSTORE users: We’ve added new features like the ability to set a default bin for receiving items, made receipts clearer when shipping multiple items to different locations, and improved how consignment sales work. You can now edit key item details (like Type, Manufacturer, and Caliber) with the right permissions, and we’ve introduced a system for handling rental guns. Several bugs have also been fixed, like issues with tax groups, discounts, and item details not showing correctly.

  • Orders coming from coreFORCE will now send back the correct coreSTORE cost once it is confirmed that the item is coming from local inventory instead of being drop-shipped.

New Features

  • The Kinsey's distributor integration is now available for all clients.

  • The new version of the Reserve Facility page now supports the page text chunks from the previous version such as limiting the number of days ahead that a reservation can be made.

  • There is now a canceled flag for events to make it simpler to filter canceled events.

Other Changes

  • When a customer changes their address on their contact or a saved payment method, it will no longer affect the shipping or billing addresses on their previous orders.

  • coreFORCE now sends a notification to coreSTORE when a customer pays an invoice online.

  • The get_events API method can now include the parameter include_inactive to see inactive events.

  • Blank contacts (without any name or business name) and Reserved Seats contacts created by the Event Registration Admin page are no longer sent to coreSTORE.

  • If a link to a product department is detected as coming from an email blast, this link will now be redirected to the home page to prevent unintentional denial-of-service situations.

  • Added a warning in Orders > Setup (Advanced and Enterprise) or Site Defualts (Basic and Standard) if Sezzle is set up but the primary domain name is redirecting to another domain name. This situation will break webhooks from Sezzle.

  • When RSR error files are logged in the notes of an order, there should now always be an explanation of where the file came from.

  • Improved the efficiency of the Inventory Report to avoid time outs with large amounts of data.

  • "Deleted" is now available to be shown as a column in Orders Dashboard list view

  • Fixed several errors related to the External Payments (Credova/ Sezzle) rework.

  • Fixed an issue with Avalara tax details not being sent to Avalara if the "commit tax transactions" box was checked.

  • Added the placeholder 'shipping_method' to order emails.

  • Fixed an issue with duplicate order-related emails being sent if the order included an external payment.

  • Add code to cancel an inventory update if all of a distributor's products showed zero inventory.

In Layman’s Terms

For coreSTORE users:

  • We’ve made it easier to manage fees by separating layaway and shipping charges, and you’ll no longer see 0-quantity items being saved after receiving. Invoices from coreFORCE will now sync more smoothly, and driver’s license scans will get better validation. Bugs like card transaction errors during refunds and incorrect bin numbers on receipts have been fixed.

For corePAWN users:

  • For corePAWN users: Permissions have been added for certain admin buttons, and issues with syncing events and invoices between systems have been resolved. You’ll also notice better reporting and invoice handling for orders with specific payment methods

Enhancements

  • Layaway and Shipping Fees will no longer be grouped together as ‘Delivery Fee’ for better clarity.

  • The line item will no longer be saved after receiving is completed if the quantity received is 0.

  • An invoice will now be automatically created in coreSTORE for any coreFORCE order that comes through with the payment method set to "INVOICE."

  • When using delete_registrant, the registration record will now be removed from the event in coreFORCE.

  • Added an employee permission for the ‘Go to e-commerce admin’ button on the user dropdown.
